WJCC Athletic Fee Information

Parents/Guardians, as discussed at our meeting at the end of this summer’s practices and in accordance with the WJCC Athletics Handbook, we will start collecting the WJCC Athletic Fee over the next several days. Complete details are in the paperwork coming home with the players this evening, but bottom line this $50.00 fee started in the 2012 season and has continued.

There are several ways to pay this fee. You can pay cash, with a check or on-line. For those paying by check, please make the check payable to “Berkeley Middle School”. For those paying on-line, please contact the BMS office if you need directions and information on how to do this. For the cash or check options, place the cash or check inside the form that is being sent home, fold it back up and either staple it or feel free to place the entire form and the check or cash inside an envelope with the folded up form just as when it was received. IF you choose to use an envelope, please write the player’s name on the outside of the envelope. Please mark on the Athletic Fee sheet on the Student Name line next to where you’ve written in the player’s name, either CASH, CHECK or ON-LINE depending on your method of payment.

Also as discussed, if your player is eligible for or participating in the Free or Reduced Meal Program, this fee is waived, and therefore you will not have to pay. Again, if this is the case, please write on the Athletic Fee sheet on the Student Name line next to where you’ve written in the player’s name, FREE/REDUCED MEAL.

Once the sheet is complete, no matter what form of payment is utilized, please fold the sheet back up so the name that I’ve written on the outside of the sheet is visible and have your player return them to me. I’ve instructed all the players on MULTIPLE occasions that this form must be turned back into me folded up due to the nature of sensitive information and/or cash or checks contained within these sheets. They will not hand them to another coach, teacher or anyone else, nor slide under the door of the equipment room. As I receive the forms back, I will turn them directly into the BMS front office folded up or inside and envelope. I will not screen any forms for accuracy or missing information due to the sensitive nature of the information contained. So, please be sure to completely fill out the forms and then fold back up.

We are trying to close out this last bit of administrative paperwork by next Friday, the 29th of September. If however you need a little more time, please just let me know (text, email or call). My contact info is still, therooster1985@gmail.com or 757-870-7901.
