Tabb Post-Game Notes

Thank you to everyone who traveled to Tabb yesterday afternoon and supported the team. While the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, the team certainly worked hard all game, never lost focus and without a doubt never gave up or quit on each other or our fans.

A special thanks goes out to Jack Smith’s and Bryce Copeland’s family who provided the halftime drinks and snacks. Likewise, thank you to Kazhon Pierce’s, Tyler Corliss’, Blake Goodale’s and Louis Metcalf’s families for providing a much needed dinner and drinks upon arrival to Berkeley last night. What our families provide for each other during and after the game shows the true team spirit of the entire program and regardless of each week’s outcome demonstrates what it means to come together and be part of the Berkeley Bulldog team! Finally, want to take a moment to thank Mrs. Coleman for setting up and managing this Meal/Snack program and keeping control of our chaotic sidelines as well as Mr. Outten for his filming skills as our team videographer. Jackson Zahn’s mom has sent me an entire library of still photos, which I will attempt to get loaded on this website over the next 36 hours as well.

Today (Wednesday, the 13th of September) we will review film right after school and will release all players by 5:00 pm for pick up or the opportunity to ride the Activity Bus. Based on the current weather forecast, we plan to practice our normal Thursday and Friday until 6:00 pm.

Again, thank you all for the tremendous support on the sidelines last night. I know if the coaches could hear all the cheering and yelling, the players did as well. For those that remember back to the Parent’s meeting at the end of last school year and even this year as we have met, I have stated before and still contend that I hate losing worse than I like winning. I reminded the team of this last night as we returned to the school. What takes the edge off the sting of falling short is how they never gave up, fought through every challenge that was put upon them and stayed together as a team.

We look forward to all of your continued support as we prepare to travel to New Kent for our next game, which will start at 5:30 pm, Tuesday. More details will follow this weekend as we get closer to kick off. I guarantee we will be focused and ready to move forward in what has become a fierce rivalry within the Bay Rivers District!

Thank you,

Your Bulldog Coaching Staff
